WELCOME TO THE CGHS BAND PROGRAM
The CGHS band program is the PRIDE of the Lawrenceville Community. This band
program has over a 60 Year tradition that has a foundation built around family
bonds. We take great pride knowing that we are not just a group of musicians but a
family. Our motto is PRIDE, FRIENDSHIP, and CONFIDENCE. It is our mission to provide
tools and guidance for each student to become successful and productive citizens.
Students will have the opportunity to explore and experience music like never before.
Students are expected to maintain the highest levels of academic achievement,
responsibility and integrity. We believe that it is important to perform successfully
in all areas of their lives. I would like to thank each parent for Believing in this
program. With your help, we are able to continue being a legacy for Central Gwinnett
High School and the Lawrenceville Community.
ENSEMBLES
The CGHS Band program is home to various ensembles to fit our students needs and interest. All ensembles are performance based and perform regularly for our school and the Lawrenceville community.

MARCHING BLACK KNIGHTS
The Marching Black Knights (MBK) is the heartbeat of the CGHS Band Program. This ensembles also competes at various competitions earning superior and excellent ratings. Other performances includes, Atlanta Hawks, Lawrenceville Christmas Parade, MLK Parade, and other local performances
DIMINISHED FUNK JAZZ BAND
The CGHS Jazz band is a ensemble that is centered around performances that is rich in culture and musical genres.
